What is OSRS Leagues?
Leagues are limited-time game modes in Old School RuneScape where players start with a fresh character and complete tasks to earn points and unlock powerful permanent buffs called **Relics**.
In Leagues, your combat progression is massively accelerated by XP multipliers and game-breaking relics that can double your attack speed or grant unlimited prayer points.
Uses: Why Participate in Leagues?
Leagues provide a unique way to play OSRS with "power fantasy" mechanics that aren't possible in the main game. Players compete for rank, cosmetics, and the purely fun experience of being incredibly overpowered.
Points earned in Leagues can be spent on exclusive cosmetic rewards in the main game, such as character outfits, weapon skins, and teleport animations.
How Leagues Combat Works
The combat formula remains the same, but your character's power is scaled by relics. For example, a relic might increase your life steal from 0 to 100%, allowing you to boss without food.
Efficiency in Leagues is all about pathing—unlocking the right regions and combat relics at the right time to clear high-level combat tasks as quickly as possible.
The Evolution of OSRS Leagues
The first league, **Twisted League**, was restricted to the continent of Zeah. Later iterations like **Trailblazer** and **Shattered Relics** expanded the scope to the entire world map with even more complex relic systems.
Each League tells a different story and brings the community together for a month of intense theorycrafting, speedrunning, and shared adventure.
